LIG’s Master Mechanics Returns for Season 2
The LIG Master Mechanics Competition is back for Season 2, bringing together some of Jamaica’s most talented mechanics for another exciting showcase of automotive knowledge, technical skill and personality.
This season features 12 talented mechanics from across Jamaica, each bringing their own story, experience and approach to the automotive industry.
The contestants will take part in a series of challenges designed to test their knowledge, practical skills, creativity and ability to think under pressure.
Alongside the competition, viewers will also get to know the personalities behind the tools through Garage Talks, hosted by Rosh Wavy and Ziggy D Chemical .
Viewers will get an opportunity to become more involved through the competition by answering questions to win a prize and getting the chance to vote for their favorite mechanic.

Allever McDonald
Allever McDonald
Age: 18
Location: Sunshine City, Portmore, St. Catherine
Allever has been involved in mechanics since the age of 8 and later completed Level 2 Automotive Repair at JAGAS.
He describes himself as efficient and a problem solver. By age 11, he already knew that mechanics was the career path he wanted to pursue.
After skipping last year's competition to focus on growing his skills, Allever was ecstatic to make the Top 12 this season.
Oshin Lawrence
Oshin Lawrence
Age: 32
Location: Originally Manchester, now Portmore
Oshin describes herself as spontaneous and fierce. As a woman working in a traditionally male-dominated field, she understands the importance of confidence and perseverance.
“It’s important to not underestimate yourself.”
Oshin is one of two women competing this season and hopes to encourage other women to pursue careers in automotive.
She expects the competition to be friendly, exciting and challenging.
Antonio Spence
Antonio Spence
Age: 34
Location: Eltham, Spanish Town
Antonio has been a mechanic for 11 years. His interest in the profession began around age 23 after his father encouraged him to learn a skill.
He describes himself as adventurous and takes pride in being clean and presentable, helping challenge the stereotype surrounding mechanics.
While he has developed strong knowledge and skills, Antonio considers himself relatively new to some practical aspects of the profession.
He hopes to represent up-and-coming mechanics and motivate others through his journey.
Bradly Baker
Bradly Baker
Age: 25
Location: Brown’s Town, St. Ann
Bradly has been involved in the automotive industry for more than seven years and considers himself an all-rounder.
His interest in mechanics began around age 8. He joined the competition for exposure and to help develop his dream of operating a mobile mechanical business.
His signature tam is his lucky charm. Bradly brings positive energy, creativity and leadership to the competition.
O’Neill Harrison
O’Neill Harrison
Age: 35
Location: Originally Kingston, now Old Harbour
O’Neill describes himself as honest and says his curiosity with electronics began when he was around 9 or 10 years old.
His love for cars developed during high school and eventually led him toward mechanics.
After considering the younger generation of mechanics, he was encouraged by another contestant to enter the competition.
He hopes to bring reliability and his experience to the competition.
Micheal Bennett
Micheal Bennett
Age: 31
Location: Mandeville, Manchester
Micheal has been a mechanic for approximately 17 years and describes himself as determined.
His wife was the one who signed him up for the competition. After being shortlisted, Micheal became excited about the opportunity to gain exposure and showcase his skills.
Amanda Clark
Amanda Clark
Age: 29
Location: Kingston
Amanda has been in the automotive industry for 10 years and describes herself as transparent.
She joined the competition to take a chance on herself and gain valuable exposure.
Amanda understands the challenges that can come with working with male customers and mechanics and believes transparency and understanding are important.
She was elated to make the Top 12 and is ready to represent herself and her customers.
Craig Ottey-Brown
Craig Ottey-Brown
Age: 30
Location: Born in Kingston, raised in Brooklyn
Craig returned to Jamaica in 2024 and has been a mechanic for six years. He describes himself as fair and honest.
He gives customers pricing and repair options and specializes in BMW vehicles.
Outside of mechanics, Craig enjoys spending time at the beach, sometimes visiting four times a week.
“When you work hard, you have to play hard.”
Craig considers himself a modern-day mechanic who combines modern technology with old-school skills.
Oniel Hobson
Oniel Hobson
Age: 33
Location: St. Ann, now Montego Bay
Oniel describes himself as scruffy, explaining that the oil and dirt on his clothes are simply part of the long hours he puts into his work.
He jokes, “Sometimes I work 48 hours a day.”
Oniel discovered mechanics around age 21 and eventually left a corporate job because he felt unfulfilled.
His passion for mechanics shines through in his personality and approach to the competition.
Sean McDonald
Sean McDonald
Age: 51
Location: Kingston
Sean has been around mechanics since the age of 3, although he has worked professionally as a mechanic for only a few years.
He enjoys working with a wide range of personalities and vehicles.
Sean also enjoys singing, even though he admits he is not particularly good at it.
His inclusion follows the expanded age and experience requirements for this season.
Sean encourages viewers to support and vote for their fan favorite.
O’Neil Williams
O’Neil Williams
Age: 47
Location: Spanish Town
O’Neil has been involved in mechanics for approximately 30 years. His love for the profession began around age 15.
He has experience working with all kinds of vehicles and entered the competition for the opportunity and to strengthen his resume.
A people-person with a passion for mechanics, O’Neil is ready to showcase his decades of experience.
Melvin Harris
Melvin Harris
Age: 21
Location: Portmore
Melvin has been involved in mechanics since the age of 12 and has experience working with BMW vehicles and light-duty trucks.
Outside of mechanics, Melvin plays rugby and represented Jamaica on the national rugby team last year.
A friend encouraged him to enter the competition.
Melvin describes his approach to mechanics as precise and focused on problem-solving and fixing vehicles correctly.
His passion for mechanics continues to drive his journey.
